Why are you putting limitations on yourself trying to fit in when so many people look to you to be different . I can’t lie I was one of those people as well . But once I started noticing what I had to say is valuable I started speaking more . I peeked that me being myself made people gravitate towards me more . Did I like that no ! Why ? Because I’m comfortable being one of those people who assist in the background instead of being upfront . I was cool with just being the friend with great advice , the sister with the plan , the daughter who always stood out as being more mature . Just never wanted outsiders to know that . Being humble in a way with my gifts .
I said all that to say don’t stay behind the scenes when you know in your heart your powerful . You know that the ideas you have , the advice you give , the structure you bring can help someone ! OFFER IT ! Especially if you are finding joy in doing so . Of course it’s a downside to that but the most importantly you are SERVING . So yes I’m saying God is pleased when we use what comes natural to us to help others . It’s also a way to just be yourself . Stand out and lead with love . So many people are watching that we don’t think see us . Looking up to who we are , but we are too shy to show it . Get out of that ! Be bold and confident in what you have to say and what you can bring to the world.
Ephesians 6:7-8 - "Rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free."
1 Peter 4:10-11 - "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord."
Prayer :
Father God I thank you and I love you . I know you love me beyond measure. Today I ask that you show me how to be myself . Show me that the gifts I have to help others . So that the spirit of serving is on me . Reveal what I can contribute to my community , my family , my friends , even strangers I’ll see in passing . Pleasing you is the only thing I seek to do so show me how father . In your son Jesus name AMEN
